A poem - "What Happened?"

Another poem from the far reaches of what's left of my mind, y'all!

What Happened?

Long ago my life was so perfect
A wife, a child and a family
But a short eleven years later
The only one left at home is me

What happened?

I sit and I often wonder
About the future that might have been
I try not to but I can not help it
I'm torn apart by one woman's sin

What happened?

I wish I could turn off my feelings
I wish I could turn off my brain
I know I'm just going through the motions
That's all that keeps me from going insane

What happened?

Where's the light at the end of the tunnel?
Where's the good times that used to be?
Gone forever -- that's the only answer
Who knows what's going to happen to me?

I sure don't!
